Hi! I am a Chinese-American portrait, lifestyle fashion, and commercial photographer. Originally from the Bay Area, CA, I still say “hella” a lot despite living in Los Angeles for years. I love pops of color in my photographs but I tend to always wear black. I unabashedly love all things cute, music, art, 80s and 90s pop culture. I'm a certified film geek with a degree in film production with emphasis in cinematography from Chapman University. I am the creator and director of “Almost Asian, Almost American” an on-going photo and video essay project that allows Asian-American women to define their own beauty and identity. I’m passionate about supporting and highlighting BIPOC and female creatives and I’m currently a member of Diversify, Authority Collective, The Luupe and Women Photograph. I am also on the board of API Middle Tennessee, a non-profit working towards racial justice by building API community, lifting API voices, and unpacking API identities in Nashville.
I am also ½ of the creative duo Kevin & King with my husband and creative partner Kevin Burnstein. Kevin & King focuses on video directing and well as high-end conceptual music photography and has worked with record labels such as Big Machine, Concord Music, Sony, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music.
Currently based in Nashville, TN with my husband Kevin, son Leo, and my dog Wally
